Having never visited Sicily, we wanted to try and live in two different areas. Palermo has been heavily by a variety of ethnic groups. These influences has left heart and depth.
After almost 4 hours of driving, we arrived at our house, which had no address, only coordinates. That’s how remote it was! You can find our Airbnb here.

Homemade olive oil, freshly baked bread, dried pasta and ground coffee, are staples in the house free to use for guests.

Where we spent most of our time. Wonder why..

Look at that view!

Central Palermo.

Quattro Canti by day.

Quattro Canti by night.

Dinner at A’nica Ristorante & Pizza Gourmet. Great pizza, pasta and dessert. We actually watched the last Eurocup game here–Denmark vs. Italy. An insane experience and super intense!

These winding roads in the nearest town from our house, Calatafimi-Segesta, were absolutely insane. Luckily, we had a tiny car, which fit everywhere. Otherwise I don’t know what I would do on these narrow and steep roads. Just thinking about them gives me anxiety.

The house cat. A little cutie.

On our last evening, we visited an off-road restaurant, Agriturismo Tenute Pispisa, in the mountains that also didn’t have an address. The food was amazing, the wine was homemade and the view overlooked the lush mountain greenery.

One of the three desserts we had to finish off our evening. I’m so happy we enjoyed this sweet moment, because on the way home, we got lost driving around the mountains. Google Maps led us to closed roads in pitch dark on our last evening before heading home to Copenhagen the following morning. Almost crying, we made it down to the main road and home in one piece. Luckily!
