One Night in Helenekilde Badehotel

To mark two years of dating, Mads and I spent one night in Helenekilde Badehotel in Tisvildeleje, Denmark.

Sitting on the sea coast, the beautiful building was built as a summerhouse in 1896 but was converted into a boarding house in 1904. Today, Helenekilde is a cute boutique hotel with an intimate atmosphere and views of the Danish Kattegat.

Loved it.

Steep. A.F. Difficult climb, but totally worth it.

COVID-friendly dinner setup in the room.

As Danes, we don’t eat it often. But we love smørrebrød.

Loved the sunset from our balcony.

Aftersun was cute too.

Personally, hotel breakfast pretty much sums up a hotel, and I can honestly say that the breakfast at Helenekilde Badehotel did certainly not disappoint!
