Last Summer, we spent roughly two weeks in Sicily. We started in the area of Syracusa and rented a house via Airbnb.

Our little house in Syracusa. So cute!

The cutest little house pet. He was SO adorable. He was wandering around the property and was so independent. Sometimes he even jumped in the pool with us.

Our little private pool. Pro tip: Bring your own floaters. Major pool day upgrade!

Stunning sunset from the driveway of our house.

One of the things we came to Sicily for was for Mads to get his diver’s license. The experience was maybe not as we expected, but it was fun and intimate. Apart from Mads, there was only one other student. A 12-year old boy, haha.

Mads’ diver’s license took him around 4 days to complete, and we ate in this trattoria every day afterwards. The food was so delicious. On our first day we sat next to a couple who asked us why we ate here, because usually only locals dine at this place. Booyah.

The scenery on this island is just jaw dropping.

After spending a few days in Syracusa, we had a 4-hour drive to our next Airbnb, located roughly an hour away from Palermo.
